The World Peace Yogi's Pledge

I Pledge to endeavour to grow in Peace, I will expand my awareness of my daily thoughts and actions, becoming a self-editor of my behaviour, not through force or self-criticism but through understanding arising from a growing experience and continued practice.

I endeavour not to judge others, people, nations, races, religions, political leaders and systems, I will search for understanding at a deeper spiritual level of reasons why the world is as it is.

 

I endeavour to accept life firstly as it is not as I wish it to be; I accept myself as I am I accept others as they are also.

 

I associate with right-mindedness and wisdom I catch myself if I fall into less desirable patterns of thought and behaviour; I am my own scientist this is my personal journey by utilising self-control, I can self-edit.

 

I endeavour to relate to deep peace, a greater experience than the normal, the mind the ego and its colours shapes and shades, for it is in this practice that experiences of peace develop and deepen my understanding; being at peace I have something of value to share with the world.

I endeavour to develop faith in a creator that is beyond my understanding; through humility and experience, I find my way home to the heart. This creator in me is surely the same creator in all, regardless of differences in cultural beliefs and actions, I can pray for understanding and tolerance in the world and guidance on my way.

 

I endeavour to embody peace in action, I am a spiritual soul and in being so I become a "World Peace Yogi."
